1. Do you wear a watch?

While I used to wear a watch, I no longer do so since the battery stopped working. I believe it’s a personal choice whether or not to wear a watch, and it depends on one’s lifestyle and preferences. Some people find it helpful to keep track of time with a watch, while others prefer to rely on their smart phones or other devices. As the saying goes, “different strokes for different folks.”
2. In your country is it important to be on time (= be punctual)? (e.g., for meetings, work, classes)
In India, being on time is generally considered important, particularly in professional and educational settings. Many schools and workplaces have strict policies regarding punctuality, and being late can have negative consequences. As the old saying goes, “time is money,” and being punctual shows respect for others’ time and demonstrates responsibility.
3. Do you like to be on time? (Similar to above) Is being on time important to you?
As the saying goes, “punctuality is the soul of business.” And so being on time is important to me, as I believe it shows respect for others and helps to build trust and reliability. When we arrive on time, we demonstrate that we value the other person’s time and that we are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities.
4. How do you feel when others are late?
When others are late, it can be frustrating and disrespectful, particularly if it causes delays or inconvenience. However, it’s important to remember that sometimes unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we should try to be understanding and flexible.
5. How do you remind yourself to be on time?
I remind myself to be on time by setting reminders on my phone or computer, checking traffic or transportation schedules, and giving myself extra preparation time.
6. Why are some people always late?
Some people are always late due to a variety of reasons, such as poor time management skills, lack of motivation or interest, or simply being forgetful. Additionally, some cultures may place less emphasis on punctuality than others, which can also contribute to lateness.
7. Do you think it’s important to be punctual?
Yes, I believe it’s important to be punctual, as it shows respect for others and helps to build trust and reliability. Being on time is a key component of professionalism and can help to improve communication and productivity. As the old saying goes, “time waits for no one.”
8. What will you do if you are waiting for someone?
If I’m waiting for someone, I might use the time to catch up on work, read a book, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. It’s important to be patient and understanding, as we never know what unexpected circumstances may have caused the delay.
9. Do you think people these days are as punctual as they were in the past?
It’s difficult to say whether people are as punctual as they were in the past, as this can vary depending on the culture, location, and individual. However, it’s true that modern technology and changing societal norms have led to some people being more relaxed about punctuality. Nevertheless, being punctual remains an important aspect of professionalism and respect, and it’s important to strive for punctuality whenever possible.
