1. Do you like animals?
Yes, I really like animals. While I do have a fondness for animals, I understand that there can be some safety concerns, especially when it comes to stray dogs that may have a tendency to chase and bite. It is important to exercise caution and take necessary precautions when dealing with unfamiliar animals. However, I still believe that most animals, if treated with respect and kindness, can bring joy and enrichment to our lives. It is important to strike a balance between appreciating animals and ensuring our safety and that of others around us.
2. What’s your favourite animal? (Why?)
My favorite animal is the elephant. I admire their intelligence, social behavior, and the important role they play in their ecosystem. There is an idiom that says, “Dogs bark, but the elephant walks away”. It means that elephants are strong and confident, and do not get affected by the noise or aggression of others. They have a calm and composed demeanor, and this is something I admire about them. Despite their enormous size and strength, they are also very gentle and have a peaceful nature. Overall, I find elephants to be fascinating creatures with admirable traits that make them my favorite animal.
3. What’s your favourite wild animal? (Why?)
My favorite wild animal is the lion. I am fascinated by their strength, agility, and majestic appearance. There is an idiom that says “to be as brave as a lion”, which means to be very courageous. This idiom is inspired by the bravery and fearlessness that lions exhibit in the wild, and this is the quality I look up to since I was a kid.
4. Are people in your country fond of animals?
In India, animals are highly regarded and have been an integral part of the culture for centuries. Animals such as cows and elephants hold a special place in Indian mythology and are deeply respected. In addition to the cultural significance of animals in India, the country is also home to numerous national parks and wildlife sanctuaries that serve as important habitats for a variety of endangered species. The Indian government has taken several measures to preserve and protect these areas, such as implementing strict regulations on hunting and poaching, and investing in conservation efforts.
5. Do many people in your country keep animals at home (or, keep a pet)? OR Do people in your country like to raise animals?
Of course, keeping pets is quite common in India, particularly dogs and cats. Many people consider pets as a member of the family and take good care of them. Additionally, in rural areas, people raise domestic animals such as cows, buffaloes, and goats for their milk, meat, and other products. Farming and animal husbandry have been an integral part of the Indian economy and culture for centuries.
6. What kinds of animals do people in your county (or, hometown) keep? OR What kinds of pets do people have in your hometown?
As far as in my knowledge, In India, people keep a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Additionally, in rural areas, people keep domestic animals such as cows, buffaloes, goats, and chickens. These animals provide milk, meat, eggs, and other products, and are often considered part of the family.
7. Compared with the past, have there been any changes concerning pets in your country/hometown?
Pet ownership has increased in India, particularly in urban areas, partly because of the trend towards nuclear families. With fewer people living in a household, there may be a greater sense of loneliness, which pets can help alleviate. People may also find that having a pet is a good way to de-stress after a long day of work. However, with more pets comes more responsibility, and not everyone is prepared to handle that. That’s why it’s important to make sure people are educated about the proper care of pets, especially in a city setting. There is also a growing trend towards adopting rescued or abandoned animals, which is a positive development.
8. Do you think pets are important?
Although I never got the opportunity to keep a pet but yes, I believe pets are important for several reasons. Firstly, they provide companionship and emotional support, particularly for people living alone or those with mental health issues. Pets can also help reduce stress and anxiety and improve overall well-being. Moreover, pets can teach us valuable life lessons, such as responsibility, empathy.

9. What farm animals do you have in your country?
In India, many people raise farm animals such as cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, and chickens. These animals play an important role in providing food for people, such as milk, meat, and eggs, as well as in supporting the livelihoods of farmers. Although with the introduction of tractors and motor vehicles there is less use of farm animals for transportation and plowing fields but somewhere it is still prevalent.

16. Did you learn something about wild animals at school?
Yes, we learned about wild animals in school as part of our science and environmental studies curriculum. We learned about different habitats and ecosystems, the importance of biodiversity, and the threats to wildlife due to human activities. In our biology classes, we learned few animals’ anatomy, including their organs and how they function, which helped us better understand their behavior and survival strategies.

Wild animals can be seen in many places, such as national parks, wildlife reserves, and zoos. In India, there are many national parks and wildlife sanctuaries where you can see a wide range of wild animals, including tigers, elephants, rhinos, and many more.
18. In which country do you think you can see many wild animals?
There are many countries around the world where you can see a lot of wild animals, but one that stands out is Tanzania. This East African country is home to some of the most iconic and diverse wildlife on the planet, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many more. Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park is famous for its annual wildebeest migration, which is one of the greatest natural spectacles on earth. I wish to someday visit that country and this famous national park.
