- Do you like weekends?
- Yes, I love weekends. They give me a chance to relax,
unwind, and spend time with my family and friends. Weekends also give me a
break from my regular routine and allow me to pursue my hobbies and interests. I
can catch up on my reading, watch movies, or take part in outdoor activities.
Moreover, weekends are an opportunity to explore new places and try out new
restaurants and cafes. They are a great way to recharge my batteries and prepare
for the upcoming week.
2. How do you usually spend your weekends? Do you study or work?
- On weekends, I like to engage in leisure activities like watching movies, reading books, or going out for a walk. I also like to spend time with my family and friends, trying out new restaurants or visiting new places. I do not usually study or work on weekends, as I believe it is important to take a break and recharge.
3. In your country, do men and women usually do the same kind of things on
weekends (or in their free time)?
- In India, men and women have different
expectations and responsibilities in terms of their roles and duties, both at home
and in society. However, when it comes to leisure activities on weekends or free
time, there is no hard and fast rule that men and women have to engage in
different things. It depends on individual preferences and interests.
4. Do you plan for your weekends?
- Yes, I usually like to plan for my weekends to ensure that I make the most of my time off. I make a list of things I want to do,
places I want to visit, and people I want to meet. This helps me to avoid wasting
time and gives me a sense of purpose.
5. When do you spend time with your family?
- I try to spend time with my family as much as possible, including on weekends. We usually have meals together, watch movies or TV shows, or go out for walks. In addition to spending time
together at home, my family and I also enjoy going on weekend trips or vacations
to nearby cities or tourist attractions. Sometimes we also like to try new
restaurants or attend cultural events together. Family time is important to me, so I make an effort to prioritize it on weekends.
6. What did you do last weekend?
- Last Saturday, I woke up early and did some
cleaning around the house. I find it satisfying to have a clean and organized living space. After that, met up with some friends for lunch. In the evening, I continued with some more cleaning and did some laundry. I ended the day by watching a movie at home with family. On Sunday, I played some outdoor games in the park and took a long walk around the park with my family. We also had some homemade snacks that my mom had prepared earlier. In the evening, I caught up on some reading and watched a movie on Netflix.
7. What do other people in your hometown (or in your country) usually do on weekends?

8. What are you going to do next weekend?
- Next weekend, I also plan to catch up on some reading and watch a movie or two that I have wanted to see. Additionally, I might go for a yoga class or do some exercise to stay active. If the weather permits, I would like to spend some time outdoors and perhaps even plan a short hiking trip. Finally, I may also catch up with some work or do some planning for the following week to stay on top of things.
9. Is there anything new that you would like to do on weekends?
- Exploring new places and trying new things can be a great way to spend weekends. I would also like to try some adventure sports such as rock climbing or bungee jumping. In addition, I would like to spend more time volunteering for a local charity or participating in community events to give back to my community.
10. Do you like working on weekends?
- No, I do not like working on weekends as it takes away from my personal time and makes it difficult to relax and recharge. Working on weekends can also lead to burnout and affect work-life balance, which can impact productivity and overall well-being. However, in some cases, working on weekends might be necessary for meeting deadlines or completing urgent tasks. Nonetheless, it is essential to have a good balance between work and personal time to avoid stress and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
11. Do you think employees should have to work on weekends?
- Ideally, employees should not be required to work on weekends as it is important for them to have time for themselves and their families. However, certain professions like healthcare or emergency services may require employees to work on weekends.
12. Do you think that weekends now are more important to you, than when you were a child?
- Yes, weekends are more important to me now than when I was a child. As a child, I had more free time during the week to engage in leisure activities, but as an adult, weekends are my only time off from work and other responsibilities.
