Body paragraph 1
According to the diagram, 10% of Americans between the ages of 16 and 24 who formerly drank alcohol have stopped doing so. Of them, 60% have never drunk. One-quarter of these young people drink moderately, while the remaining 5% consume large amounts of alcohol. Between the ages of 25 and 34, a clear trend may be seen. Nonetheless, the percentage of irregular drinkers has gone up, and only about 8% are heavy drinkers.
Body paragraph 2
It’s also noteworthy that the majority of people who are chronic drinkers in the nation are between the ages of 35 and 54, with younger and older people appearing to have lower rates of chronic alcoholism. The percentage of persons who have never consumed alcohol decreases noticeably as people get older. Moreover, the number of former drinkers increases as people age, showing a reverse tendency. The age range of 45 to 54 is where the majority of heavy drinkers are found. On the other hand, among American individuals between the ages of 25 and 34, light drinkers are most prevalent. Finally, a significant portion of Americans—nearly 40%—has given up drinking after turning 64.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is clear, the drinking patterns of American residents differ significantly depending on their age groupings.
