One may see how the introduction of technology has transformed the world, especially the way that the younger generation lives, by taking a quick look back at an average day. Presently, some people agree that modern times are good for kids, while others are opposed to the idea since they think the old days were simpler. The two sides of the coin will be examined in this essay.
Body paragraph 1
On the one hand, a small percentage of people in the present day agree with the notion that the past was preferable for children. To start, one of the most important causes of this is that there were fewer technological developments than there are now. So, in comparison to now, youngsters had more time to spend with their relatives and friends. So, the earlier age not only had a superior mentality than the current generation but also suffered from fewer mental ailments like anxiety and depression, which are more prevalent now. Social media was also not a part of their lives. Therefore they had more time to concentrate on their objectives. Nevertheless, because they are so addicted to social media, today’s kids frequently waste the majority of their spare time on it, which can be bad for their mental health. For instance, research has been done on previous and present surveys of school students conducted by Oxford University. The study’s results astounded the scientist since they showed that students in previous generations of schools were more mentally stable than students today. Because there was less technology available in the past, it was ideal for the majority of people, especially students.
Body paragraph 2
Contrarily, however, veritable individuals support the idea that the current era is the ideal one for the younger generation because it comes with several advantages. Easy access to high-quality education, which can help students succeed in this cutthroat market, is one of the main causes. Also, improvements in the educational field help today’s kids keep up with the latest developments by giving them the necessary training and abilities to achieve their objectives. A better level of living can provide students with the ideal setting to finish their studies, which can ultimately lead to high-paying professions, which is another positive effect. They can meet their family’s demands as a result. For instance, a recent study revealed that the current generation is using internet resources, which are a product of technology, to improve their abilities and land better- paying jobs. Hence, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks in the present.
In conclusion, some critics would contend that because of the lack of technology, pastimes were good for kids. Yet, I agree with the notion that students are best served by living in the present since it allows them easy access to resources.
