The diagrams show a structure that is used to generate electricity from wave power. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words. IELTS 7 band essay -2023
Introduction
The illustrations demonstrate how power is generated from the ebb and flow of the water using a building close to the beach. This structure is a human-made device that generates electricity due to the activity of the sea waves. The provided picture shows two methods in which the electricity-generating device operates.
Body paragraph 1
First of all, the building is situated next to a body of water to allow wave water to enter the chamber and generate air pressure that will turn a turbine housed inside a column. Electricity generated by the turbine’s spinning is stored in cells where it can be consumed and transferred. The entire building is situated close to the water, next to a cliff or sea wall.
Body paragraph 2
The second illustration shows how the sea’s ebb tide can be used to generate electricity. The water exits the chamber during the ebb, creating air pressure once more from the other direction, which turns the turbine. Electricity is generated by the turbine’s spinning and supplied to the storage.
Conclusion
In conclusion, energy can be generated utilizing a structure close to the ocean, and both the tide and the ebb tide are employed to rotate the turbine.
