In the future, all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. Do you think that the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages? IELTS 7 band essay -2023
Introduction
With the level of scientific progress that has been made in the modern era,
technology has facilitated many aspects of our lives and become a prerequisite.
This has caused many individuals to believe that in the coming decades, all
automobiles would be fully automated and driverless. I firmly believe that the
benefits of driverless cars outweigh the disadvantages.
Body paragraph -1
To begin with, self-driving automation helps people reduce traffic accidents since
some people do not comply with traffic laws. The human mistake will no longer be
a factor in accidents, which accounts for 94% of all accidents. Employing drivers to
transport goods to clients and guarantee passengers’ safety would also be
unnecessary if firms used autopilot vehicle services. In addition, if you drive a car
with an automatic driver, you can spend more time working on other tasks while
you’re driving. Hence, by eliminating the necessity for us to drive, we may save
millions of hours per day. Our productivity will go up, and the national economy
will benefit.
Body paragraph -2
Driverless cars also make it possible for elderly people and others who might have
trouble driving to commute safely. Even if someone is too exhausted or otherwise
unable to drive, they will still be able to travel safely. The use of automated vehicles will reportedly result in less energy consumption and pollution, making them a significantly more environmentally friendly mode of
transportation, according to the studies.
Nevertheless, issues can be resolved if the government implements the right
policies for the populace, as automation and driverless vehicles may significantly
lower the accident rate.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I agree that there will be more advantages to automated vehicles than disadvantages, at least in my opinion. Driverless cars are a welcome technical advance for the future because their positive elements significantly outweigh their negative ones.
